In astrology, when a planet is exalted, it means that it is in its strongest position and can give the best possible results. But does this always happen? Many people assume that an exalted Moon will bring happiness, peace, and success, but that is not always the case.
In my latest video, I looked at a kundali with an exalted Moon. I also shared a key rule: exaltation alone doesn't ensure good results. What really matters is the strength of the dispositor (Rashi lord) of the exalted planet. If the dispositor is strong, the planet will give exalted results. But if the dispositor is weak, the planet cannot give its full power.
In this article, I will explain how to check if an exalted Moon will give positive or negative results in your kundali. I will also explain how other planetary aspects can affect the final outcome.
What Does It Mean When the Moon is Exalted?
The Moon is exalted in Taurus (Rashi number 2). This means that when the Moon is placed in Taurus in a birth chart, it is considered very strong and can bring: ✔️ Emotional stability ✔️ Mental peace ✔️ Wealth and prosperity ✔️ Good intuition and intelligence
But this only happens when the dispositor of the Moon (which is Venus) is strong. If Venus is weak, the Moon will not give exaltation results, no matter how powerful it looks.
Understanding the Role of the Dispositor (Rashi Lord)
The Rashi lord (dispositor) is the planet that rules the sign in which another planet is placed.
-
Since the Moon is exalted in Taurus, its Rashi lord (dispositor) is Venus.
-
If Venus is strong, then the Moon will give its exalted results.
-
If Venus is weak, then the Moon will not be able to express its full power.
To understand this better, let’s check two kundalis from my video. One shows the Moon giving great results, while the other does not.
Example 1: Exalted Moon Giving Good Results
📍 Placement: In this kundali, the Moon is exalted in the Lagna (1st house).
📍 Dispositor Check: Venus (Rashi lord of Taurus) is in the 8th house with Saturn but is getting an aspect from Jupiter (which is also the Rashi lord of Venus).
📍 Result: Since Venus is strong, the Moon is able to give exalted results such as: ✔️ Strong mind and emotions ✔️ Wealth and stability ✔️ Good intuition and creativity
Conclusion: This person will enjoy the full benefits of an exalted Moon. That's because its dispositor, Venus, is strong.
Example 2: Exalted Moon Not Giving Good Results
📍 Placement: In this kundali, the Moon is exalted in the Lagna (1st house).
📍 Dispositor Check: Venus (the Rashi lord of Taurus) is in the 11th house and is in a planetary war with Mars.
📍 Saturn’s Aspect: The Moon is also receiving Saturn’s 7th aspect, and Saturn is placed in Scorpio (Rashi number 8), where it is weak.
📍 Additional Weakness: Jupiter and Mercury are also in a planetary war in this kundali, making the overall chart weaker.
📍 Result: Since Venus is weak, the Moon does not give its exaltation results. Instead, the person may face:
❌ Emotional instability
❌ Confusion in decision-making
❌ Financial struggles
❌ Delayed success
Conclusion: The Moon is exalted, but it doesn’t give good results. This is because its dispositor, Venus, is weak and it faces negative influences from other planets.
Key Lessons About Exalted Moon in Kundali
🔹 Lesson 1: Exaltation alone does not guarantee good results. The dispositor of the exalted planet must be strong.
🔹 Lesson 2: If the dispositor is weak, the exalted planet cannot express its full strength.
🔹 Lesson 3: Other planetary aspects (like Saturn’s aspect or planetary wars) can further weaken an exalted Moon.
How to Check if Your Exalted Moon is Strong or Weak?
If you have an exalted Moon in Taurus in your kundali, follow these steps to check whether it will give good results:
✅ Step 1: Find the Moon’s Position – Check if the Moon is placed in Taurus (Rashi number 2).
✅ Step 2: Check the Dispositor (Venus) – Find where Venus is placed in your chart.
✅ Step 3: Check Venus’s Strength –
✔️ If Venus is strong, the Moon will give positive exalted results.
❌ If Venus is weak (in planetary war, bad placement, or bad aspects), the Moon will not give exalted results.
✅ Step 4: Check for Saturn’s Aspect – If Saturn is aspecting the Moon, it can weaken its effects.
✅ Step 5: Check for Other Weak Planets – If other important planets are weak, they can also reduce the positive effects of an exalted Moon.

The Truth About Exalted Moon
Many people believe that an exalted planet always gives great results. But the truth is, an exalted planet is only as strong as its dispositor. If the dispositor is strong, the planet gives amazing results. If the dispositor is weak, the planet loses its power, no matter how exalted it is.
In the case of the Moon in Taurus, you must always check Venus’s strength before assuming that the exalted Moon will bring success. If Venus is weak, the Moon’s power will not be fully expressed.
